Fai Atkins is a painter and ceramicist, currently based in Liverpool, studying fine art at Liverpool Hope University. Exploring her relationship with her body, her fleshy paintings negotiate body standards, diet culture and their effects on her self image. Her work promotes a feminist recuperation of the female body from both societal and art historical constraints. Experimenting with materiality, scale and composition to tackle the controversy surrounding the body.
